Before Starting Your Portrait
Commissioning a portrait is a special process—and I love creating something special together. I want to ensure your piece is everything you hope for.
To begin, I will need:
High-quality photographs: A clear photo of your child in the desired pose, along with close-ups for reference. Multiple photos help me capture the details that make them unique.
Clarity and angles: Photos should be sharp, well-lit, and taken at your child’s eye level to avoid distortion. Blurry or dark images make it harder to achieve the best result.
Size preferences: Let me know the dimensions you have in mind. While I can create prints in most sizes, working to your preferred scale ensures the best composition.
Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before I begin working on your portrait.
Timeline: On average, portraits take around two months from initial contact to completion. If you need yours for a special occasion, please let me know as early as possible so I can try to accommodate your timeframe.
Price Guide...
These prices are intended as a guide, and based on one figure per portrait. There is an additional charge for extra figures in the same portrait. I can work to most sizes to suit your requirements. Please get in touch for your personal requirements.
Your Finished Portrait
When your portrait is complete, I’ll send you a digital sample for review. This is your opportunity to request any small refinements to ensure it’s just right.
What to expect next:
Final approval & payment: Once you approve the sample, I will request the remaining balance before sending the portrait to the printer.
Colour variations: Printed colours may differ slightly from what you see on a screen. I work closely with professional printers to achieve the highest quality and best colour accuracy.
High quality Giclée prints: Please be aware that your finished portrait is a beautiful print. Original sketches can be purchased at an agreed upon price.
Signed prints: Each print will be signed and dated, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Shipping & Delivery
I take great care to ensure that your portrait arrives safely and in perfect condition. Each print is packaged with love and protective materials to prevent damage during transit.
Postage & Packing Costs
UK P&P: Starts from £3.50
International Shipping: Starts from £7.00 (varies by location). Please get in touch for an exact quote.
Delivery Times
Once your portrait is complete and approved, please allow time for printing and shipping:
UK Orders: 14 working days
International Orders: minimum 14 working days (may vary due to customs processing).
If your order is time-sensitive, please let me know in advance, and I’ll do my best to accommodate!
Packaging & Sustainability
I use high-quality, eco-friendly packaging whenever possible. Your print will be carefully wrapped to ensure it arrives in pristine condition.
If you have any questions about shipping, feel free to reach out—I’m happy to help!
Returns & Replacements
I take great care to ensure that your portrait arrives in perfect condition. If your print is damaged in transit, please contact me within 7 days of receiving it, and I will arrange a replacement.
To process a replacement:
Provide clear photos of the damage.
No need to return the damaged print—I’ll take care of the rest!
Sharing Your Portrait
I love celebrating the artwork I create and would be honoured to feature your portrait on my website or social media. Of course, I will always ask for your permission first—and if it’s a surprise gift, I’ll wait until after it has been received.

Copyright & Additional Prints
All commissioned portraits and preliminary sketches remain the copyrighted work of me, Juliana (Little Liefje). Purchasing a portrait does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.
This policy helps preserve the integrity of my artwork, but if you would like additional prints, these can be purchased separately. Please refer to the price guide above for details.
