Drawing Nature In is a growing collection of inspirational wall art of children in nature, capturing the magic of their real-life connections with the natural world.
This project is a collaboration between families and myself, kindred spirits who want to celebrate the wonder of the wilderness. The children have been so happy to share their love of nature, and I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to bring their experiences to life through my illustrations.
Each artwork is accompanied by a short story about the child who inspired it, which I share in my journal. Through both illustration and storytelling, I hope to encourage a lifelong sense of wonder and appreciation for nature.

The following illustration and story (the namesake of the Drawing Nature In collection) started the wonderful collaborations.

“ She gazed up as the sunshine’s dappled light flickered between the fluttering leaves. Allowing warming rays to dance on her belly and toes.
‘Oh, how lovely!’ – (I’m sure) she thought.
Gently swaying between the branches, her hammock hugged her comfortingly and joyously. Delightfully different from her free legs, which were revelling in the playful breeze. Watching, listening, smelling – taking it all in and sensing the warm friendliness of the wilderness.
Mother Nature knows how to charm – doesn’t she. My hope is that in years to come those free legs will climb everything from trees to mountains. Seeing the magnificent sights of our wondrous natural world. Because that wondrous natural world will still be there, maybe even more wondrous than before… if she is given the chance to be wooed in childhood.”
Drawing Nature In is available as a print and can also be personalised for a baby’s nursery with their name and birth details. What a beautiful way to welcome them into the world with a touch of nature from the very start!
Each illustration is available as a high-quality print, complete with its own printed story, perfect for bringing a touch of nature’s magic into your home.
My aim is to one day collate these illustrations and stories into a book to inspire more like-minded souls.

Whether exploring their backyard, a woodland trail, a coastal path, or a tiny patch of wilderness in a bustling city, the children I’ve illustrated have shown me just how deeply they cherish nature. Their enthusiasm fills me with hope.
They remind us of something essential: Nature has the power to calm, inspire, and bring clarity. It gives us space to dream, to reflect, and to nurture both ourselves and the world around us. And in doing so, it fosters a deep sense of belonging.
Drawing Nature In is my way to connect children who want to share their love of the wilderness with others, creating a ripple effect of appreciation, empathy, and curiosity. Through these illustrations of children sharing their real-life connections in nature, I hope to highlight not only the beauty of the natural world but also the unique ways in which each child experiences it.
Please get in touch if your child has a special connection to the outdoors and you’d like to collaborate.
